A deer trapped in the ice on the Kettle River near the 68th Avenue bridge in Grand Forks has been rescued.
Only its two front legs and head were above the water.
Conservation officer Dave Webster helped firefighters get it out.
The deer was estimated to have been stuck for an hour but hopped away seemingly unharmed shortly after the rescue.
