A warning about a phone scammer posing as an RCMP officer.
A Grand Forks citizen was recently contacted and told they owned back taxes and fines to Canada Revenue Agency.
The scammer went as far as to threaten arrest and seizure of their children if payment wasn’t made.
The scammers are using Grand Forks RCMP names and badge numbers to identify themselves.
If you believe you have been a victim of one of these calls you’re asked to contact the police and the CRA.
