Almost four weeks of vital repairs start next week at the Bear Creek well pump house.
The facility provides very clean untreated water to Trail residents at Shavers Bench, Miral Heights, Glenmerry and Waneta.
They may notice a chlorine odour as they’re moved over to the supply from the city’s water treatment plant.
But Utilities Superintendent Chris McIsaac says there should be no shortage issues with the extra users.
The maintenance to the Bear Creek well pump and motor are necessary for the health and longevity of the mechanical equipment required to deliver quality water to the east side.
