There’s a labour agreement in Trail.
The city and its workers have renewed their collective agreement.
The five year deal is retroactive to March 1st last year.
It features wage increases of 2% a year and also includes improvements to extended health benefits and contract language.
The deal with the CUPE local was approved by Trail council and then ratified by the union last week.
The city says the deal provides certainty in the provision of municipal services in the coming years and the contract reflects fairness for the employees and is respectful of the city’s taxpayers.
The union called the bargaining productive and respectful.
