A landmark in the city of Trail will soon be just a memory.
The Old Trail Bridge will be demolished in the near future.
The city has awarded a contract for $30,000 to Graham Infrastructure – the company which is working on the Columbia River Skywalk – to provide an estimate as to what the eventual demolition project will cost.
Mayor Mike Martin says it will be sad to see it go.
One city councilor suggested using parts from the Old Trail Bridge after the demolition for other projects in the community or possibly for a monument.
