A spring-time music party is planned for Nelson’s new Hall Street Plaza Saturday.
Organiser and musician Marc Andre Hamelin says it’s to celebrate the decision by Air Miles Canada to select the Queen City as a finalist in their national 2016 Detour Program.
The party goes from 11 am until 4 pm Saturday on the corner of Hall and Baker.
Hamelin is also organising Nelson’s effort to win the Air Miles competition running throughout May.
More info on that is coming but the winning town secures a gig from American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor.
