The first two games of KIJHL playoff action are out of the way for our Border Bruins, who return home this weekend for matches 3 and 4.
The Beaver Valley Nitehawks hosted Grand Forks Wednesday and Thursday night. On Wednesday It was tied 3-3 entering the 3rd period following a power-play from Josh-Garlough Bell, but The Nitehawks pulled ahead in overtime ending the game 5-4. The Bruins and Nitehawks clashed again on Thursday for the 2nd game of round 1 playoff action. Grand Forks managed to put up some points but Beaver Valley had the power play on their side landing 5 of 8, and winning 10-4.
Games 3 and 4 of playoff action go tomorrow, March 2nd, and Sunday, March 3rd at The Jack, puck drops at 7.
