The annual Park in the Park car show is no more, as it’s switching lanes and moving to the downtown core. This year’s Grand Forks Car Show is being hosted by Integra Tire.
Integra Tire’s Peter Novokshonoff says there is another big change:
“We’re moving the show a little bit earlier in the year so we’re going to have hopefully a little bit better of weather than we’ve dealt with, so it’s going to be June 15 this year, still a Saturday, still 10 til’ 3 in the afternoon…”
He says the Downtown Business Association is helping:
“With the Integra Tire Block Party in the evening we are going to offer a beer garden that’s going to be put on by the DBA, and then we have Radio Freak again this year to do some live music and like always we’ll have the free barbecue and drinks that evening.”
Novokshonoff says the award ceremony is also returning:
“Lot’s of good awards this year, one of the biggest things we really want to focus on is …. it doesn’t matter what your car is like, we definitely want to see you down there, if you want to show it off we’re happy to have it there.”
He adds although last year’s turnout was slightly down, it went really well.
