The search for an Events Manager for The City of Grand Forks and surrounding Area D has come to a close. The City of Grand Forks and Rural Dividend Grant Stakeholders Community Futures Boundary, Downtown Business Association, and Boundary Country Regional Chamber of Commerce applied to the Province late last year intending to fund a position to oversee economic driver events over a two-year period.
Erinne Allen has been contracted. Allen and her family will be joining her parents in Grand Forks when they arrive in May from Cold Lake, Alberta. Her background includes over 10 years of digital marketing and event planning. The Event Manager role’s major objective is providing an events service, which includes planning and developing new events and working on previous ones. The City says Allen has already immersed herself in planning several upcoming Summer events.
