The City of Greenwood is notifying it’s water-users of upcoming water main flushing. The Public Works Department is said to be flushing water mains from May 13th to June 14th, between 8AM and 4:30PM, Monday to Friday. Flushing can temporarily cause pressure fluctuations, discoloration, and sediment in the water, but these conditions are only temporary.

You’re urged to run your drinking, cooking, and laundry water before use, and if you have a pressure reducer with a screen it may need to be cleaned afterwards. If experiencing dirty water you should turn on the cold water in your bathtub or outside tap until the water runs clear.
