Economic development survey launches, public input requested

Community Futures Boundary is conducting an online survey. This as the City of Grand Forks and rural Grand Forks, Area D, are developing an Economic Development Strategy and Workplan. Community Futures received funding from the Province last year and is spear heading the project. They say this is the first step in establishing what residents and businesses think of the current economic climate, and what directions should be took.

The survey intends to gauge key issues, concerns, and opportunities for economic development. There will also be other forms of public consultation, including focus groups and interviews. Hard copies of the survey can be collected and dropped-off at Community Future’s office. CFB also say they’re looking to fill the Economic Development Officer position, which would implement the comprehensive three-year strategy.
