Creston’s OCP process includes backyard bees and chickens

Creston residents are getting an opportunity to weigh in on the town’s current ban on backyard bees and chickens.

This via the public engagement portion of the official community plan process.

Councillor Jen Comer says the draft version of the current municipal Animal Control Bylaw included backyard bees and chickens.

Comer says the OCP public consultation, which gets under way in the next few weeks, has a section on urban farming.

It encompasses specific questions around backyard bees and chickens and welcomes feedback.
