Grand Forks CAO announces departure

The Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Grand Forks has announced her retirement from the position, effective this week.

In a press release the city says Diane Heinrich announced her intentions earlier this month, after joining the city 12 years prior, and advancing through positions including Administrative Assistant, and Corporate Officer. The release highlights some of her accomplishments including spearheading the Sustainable Infrastructure Investment Program designed to get the best use of available city resources through the flood recovery period. It also states Ms. Heinrich intends to focus on more artistic pursuits in the meantime, including her home-based glass art studio and love of music.

The City says finding the appropriate replacement could take several months, but Corporate Officer Daniel Drexler has been appointed as acting-CAO. That’s until an Interim Administer is brought on later this month. Click here for more details
