Creston Mayor supports more car chargers

Creston’s Mayor fully backs a bid by the community energy association to expand the regional electric vehicle charging network.

The RDCK and RDKB have been asked to kick in $10, 000 – 15, 000 each to help add another 52 chargers across the Kootenays.

Ron Toyota says the town of Creston supports the initiative and already has three chargers.

Toyota says it’s important we get in on this now because eventually it will be part of everyday life.

Creston’s chargers were acquired through Sun Country Highway last fall.
