There are many service organisations in the region. Most of them are members of the Kootenay Boundary Community Services Co-operative.
The members provide community social service agencies offer a broad range of services to communities, people living with physical and mental challenges, vulnerable children, youth and seniors, people living with addictions/mental health and those living in poverty.
Juice FM had a chance to talk with the Co-operative’s Executive Director Dr. Janice Murphy and she said that the first hurdle the 17 members faced is that the services provided are typically face to face, and many had to be redeveloped to a virtual/online delivery format.
