Local search crews have been celebrating success in the hunt for a missing two year boy.
Fruitvale-based South Columbia Search and Rescue deployed to Kimberley as part of a massive effort to find the boy who’d gone missing near the campground.
President and SAR Manager Mike Hudson says his team had spent all day Saturday on training exercises then got the call before dawn Sunday.
They made the 4-hour drive to Kimberley knowing the urgency of the situation.
The boy had spent sixteen hours outdoors in below freezing temperatures before being found.
Hudson says outcomes like this are a huge inspiration.
