Drive BC has reported that Highway 33 is closed in both directions.
Debris on the roadway is causing the closure from Three Forks Road to Philpott Road for 2.7 km.
An assessment is in progress but the road is expected to be closed the majority of the day on Wednesday.
A detour is in effect, with motorists able to use Highway 3 to Highway 33 through Rock Creek and Osoyoos.
Detour for light traffic only via KLO Rd to McCulloch Rd to Hwy 33 with a warning of 25km of gravel road.
