The Greenwood Board of Trade announced its 5 year plan last night at Greenwood City Council.
The plan is to address many issues in its district including, business development, a board of arbitration, accessibility, and community improvement projects. Additionally, plans for the 125th anniversary of Greenwood will see a 75 Year Time Capsule, and other events planned for 2022.
Besides the 5-Year Plan, the BoT is hosting alternative events in regards to COVID-19 regulations. The Founders Day Garden Competition is being replaced by a Flower Planter Competition that is open to residents and businesses.
The purse for the top three entrants is a combination of one thousand dollars in cash and gifts. Participants are to make their planters and take them to Route 3 Print Studio and Gifts to register. They will be numbered and placed around the city. Judging will be at the end of July.
