A potential break for residents in Castlegar who may be paying the city’s $150 parcel tax more than once for the same property.
City council has approved a program to assist property owners in legally removing lot lines that bisect their homes.

This will ensure that homeowners whose house spans more than one lot will only have to pay the decade-long parcel tax for one property.
The city will give residents until December 2017 to have the changes made.
