The Castlegar and District Library is looking to make some upgrades.
Board Chair Katrina Vermette says they have plans to spruce up the building’s lower level.
Vermette says they will have to seek funding for the project – which is estimated to cost $420,000.
She says the funding would likely come through grants and they are actively seeking funding opportunities.
Vermette adds the library is looking to expand its work with youth by adding Pro-D Day programs as well as offering more programs for seniors.
