RDKB Drought Level 2 – Dry Conditions
With the warm temperatures and less than average precipitation, most of the Boundary region has now entered drought level 2 or “dry” conditions.
For Level 2, surface water users are recommended to reduce water withdrawals by 10% of licensed water quantity; for those not licensed, 10% of current use.
The Boundary region received approximately half of its normal precipitation amounts in July with Rock Creek receiving 8 mm and Grand Forks totaling 9 mm.
