ANKORS has issued an Overdose Alert for the Nelson area following an increase in fentanyl-related overdoses.
According to ANKORS, extremely toxic concentrations of fentanyl have been found in a light green hard-packed substance, which is suspected to be the cause of the increasing number of local overdoses.
The Overdose Alert will remain in effect until October 1st.
ANKORS is encouraging any users to have Naloxone and know how to use it, using extreme caution if they are going to use.
