Grand Forks Search and Rescue searching the Boundary

Grand Forks Search and Rescue is searching for numerous people in the Boundary. People in the form of volunteers that is.

President Spencer Novokshonoff spoke with Juice FM and mentioned that the non-profit Grand Forks Search and Rescue team of 29 is based in GRand Forks and throughout the Boundary and that they are actively looking for volunteers to bolster their ranks.

GF SAR works with neighboring groups in the West Kootenay Working Group (WKWG), this includes Castlegar, Rossland, South Columbia, Nelson, Creston, Kaslo, and Arrow Lakes SAR.

The GF SAR is involved in river and ice rescues to all types of search operations. They are looking for outdoors people and offer various training for candidates that are selected.
