Community Futures Boundary writes over $1.2 million in cheques to local businesses

Community Futures Boundary has supported 30 local businesses through the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund with over $1.2 million since June of this year. The fund offered relief to businesses, organizations and communities that felt the effect of the economic impact of COVID-19.

The General Manager of Community Futures Boundary, Jennifer Wetmore said, “Throughout the pandemic, our staff has had an incredibly busy time evaluating and approving applications,” and also said that, “It is so rewarding to be able to support so many local businesses. The businesses, from across the Boundary Region as a whole, represent all sectors of industry, including businesses owned by women, by youth & entrepreneurs with disabilities.”
