It appears as though Rossland’s long-awaited skatepark is going to happen by the Fall.
Skatepark Society board member Robin Strachan says it’s “huge” that they’ve just secured a $150,000 grant from the new CBT Recreation Infrastructure Fund.
The design is set and they’ve been working with their own engineers and those from the city.
He says shovels should be in the ground come the summer.

The skatepark bowl will be built first on the old Emcon lot.
But the larger project also sees the Youth Centre going next door.
