Did BC really have a record year of production in the agriculture and agri-food sectors?
According to the province, revenues topped 12-point- 3 billion dollars.
But a local food advocate in Creston, Paris Marshall-Smith says this doesn’t mean more food is actually being sold.
She says another factor to consider is how much of that number is retained for local consumption and what percent is being exported.
Marshall-Smith says in the Creston Valley, last year’s food production “Did” see an increase.
