The Grand Forks area has a new director elect and also staved off yet another election in COVID-19 times in the process.
The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary has confirmed, via the Corporate Officer, that on Friday after closing of nominations, Danna O’Donnell was acclaimed as the new director for Area D.
O’Donnell officially takes over as Area D director, after the mandatory challenge period expires on January 18th. Until then, Mike Tollis will continue as the alternate director to that time.
The Area D by-election was called after Roly Russell was elected to the BC parliament last October.
