Over the past 11 years, nine of them have seen the Wilgress Lake Family Fishing Derby on the Family Day Long Weekend. Hosted by the Boundary Metis Community Association, this year’s event will be virtual and has already started!
To join in on the fishing derby is easy. Just register by going to the Wilgress Lake Family Fishing Derby Facebook page. This year you can fish any lake in the area!
There will be prizes for fish (take a photo with a measuring tape), being skunked (you have to have a very creative photo and story), snow sculpting (if we get any snow), snowshoeing, and cross country skiing.
All registered entrants are eligible for any and all of the categories. Entry is $10 dollars for an adult (children under 16 free)Â or $15.00 for families
