First responders have gotten support from the RDCK regarding PTSD.
The RDCK will be writing a letter to the province supporting a BC MLA’s private members bill that says PTSD should be recognized by Worksafe BC.
Area ‘C’ director Larry Binks says it shouldn’t stop there.
Binks says many first responders that suffer from PTSD turn to drugs and alcohol to cope with the symptoms.
