Hoarding and messy properties has the City Of Grand Forks considering the addition of a new Bylaw Officer.
Complaints from the public have been increasing.
Wayne Kopan, a Bylaw officer and building inspector with the city, explains.
This has city council worried about the impact to home values and how it appears to those thinking of relocating to Grand Forks.
Kopan adds a new bylaw officer could also help regarding water regulations and the homeless camping on the river.
$28,000 will be provided from the city’s surplus for the position if council approves it later this month.
