Castlegar city council continues to work towards a bylaw to regulate smoking in parks.
Councilor Deb McIntosh says an outright ban rather than having designated smoking areas is the most likely outcome.
There are still a few areas of the proposed legislation to be decided like what the penalty will be for offenders and how enforcement would be carried out.
They’re reviewing similar bylaws in other cities to work out those details.
