Nelson faces affordable housing decisions

Nelson City Council will ponder many factors in deciding how to proceed on two shovel-ready affordable rental housing projects.

Kootenay Christian Fellowship proposes a downtown development of 42 units for working singles and couples.

Nelson Cares Society proposes 39 new units for seniors in lower Farview.

Here’s Councillor Michael Dailly who’s also chair of the city’s housing committee.

Both projects are valued at around $7 million and need city backing to secure BC Housing funds.
