Keep your eyes peeled for cougars especially if deer regularly frequent your yard.
This from Jenny Wallace with Wildsafe BC who is speaking to two recent cougar sightings in the Greater Trail area.
She says deer are the big cat’s main food source.
She says you should always take the proper steps in the unlikely event of coming face to face with a cougar.
This means stay calm, make yourself as big as you can and make lots of noise.
