Boundary COVID cases remain low

The Boundary only saw two new COVID-19 cases on the latest reporting period.

According to the BC Centre for Disease Control, there were two new cases in Grand Forks from April 17 to 23, up from one the previous week, and none in Kettle Valley, which was unchanged.

The West Kootenay had 34 new cases, down from 48 the previous week.

Of them, a dozen were in Nelson, down from 24. Trail also saw a sharp decline, with nine new cases, down from 19.

All other communities were in the single digits: Castlegar six (up from two), Creston six (up from three), Arrow Lakes one (up from zero), and Kootenay Lake zero (unchanged).
