Boundary COVID cases up slightly

The number of new COVID-19 cases in the Boundary on the latest round of reporting was up slightly from the previous period with a total of 10.

According to the BC Centre for Disease Control, eight new cases were recorded in Grand Forks between May 1 and 7, compared to five the week before, while two new cases appeared in Kettle Valley, up from one.

In the West Kootenay, there were 38 new cases, down from 41 the previous week.

Nelson still had the most with 15 (down from 18) followed by Creston with 14 (up from 12), and Trail with six (down from eight). Castlegar had two (down from three), Arrow Lakes had one (up from zero), and Kootenay Lake had none (unchanged).
