Greenwood: Noll vs. Bolt for mayor, 8 for council

Greenwood city hall (Greg Nesteroff/Vista Radio)

Canada’s smallest city will see a race for mayor this year between incumbent Barry Noll and incumbent councillor John Bolt.

Noll submitted his papers today, a few hours before the nomination deadline.

Among those running for council are incumbent Jim Nathorst and former councillor Gerry Shaw, who resigned to run for mayor in a 2020 byelection following the resignation of Ed Smith. Shaw lost to Noll.

Also seeking a spot on council is Carolina Hopkins, who ran in the by-election to fill the seat Shaw vacated.

The other candidates are Mike Goddard, Clint Huisman, Jessica McLean, Gary Stewart, and Doug Teramoto.

Voting day is Oct. 15.
