A BC award for hospice work is a shout-out to everyone in our region working hard at palliative care.
This from Suzanne Lehbauer the Executive Director of the Castlegar Hospice Society who has been honoured with a BC Award of excellence.
For many years Lehbauer has spearheaded the move to get a stand alone palliative centre in our region with up to 10 beds.
She’s hoping for a major announcement in that regard later this year.
