RCMP say a man wanted in the Boundary on a warrant for breach of release has been arrested.
Ryan Harp, 32, was picked up Friday night. Police say just after 9 p.m., officers from the Grand Forks and Midway detachments responded to a tip that Harp was seen near Phoenix Road and Marshall Lake Road.
He was arrested without incident and following a bail hearing Saturday afternoon he was remanded in custody until a court appearance on Tuesday.
“We were able to get his story and image out late last week and in just two days, he was spotted by a member of the public and taken back into custody,” said Sgt. Darryl Peppler, adding that they are “very thankful for the public assistance.”
Harp is charged with assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and breach of undertaking dating to last September.
