Grand Forks RCMP say a 33-year-old man has died of a gunshot wound.
They were called Sunday at around 2 a.m. to a rural home on Granby Road. Although police and paramedics tried to save the man’s life he died at the scene.
A 43-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene but has since been released. Police say the men knew each other, and there is no risk to the public.
Neither man’s name was been released. Police did not say if they recovered a weapon.
The RCMP’s serious crime unit is investigating.
