A local bike shop owner is happy the City of Castlegar appears to be serious about improving its cycling infrastructure.
Adam Pomeroy of Cycology Bikes is speaking after the unveiling of schematic concept designs for the major Columbia Ave. upgrade.
It features a dedicated and curbed bike lane on one side.
Pomeroy says it would be better to have a bike lane on either side but he concedes that would likely take up too much space.
