Railtown concept shown to public
A very positive turn-out Thursday night for the initial public open house for Nelson’s proposed Railtown neighborhood.
The community was shown an array of design options for the neglected part of town.
There will likely be five broad precincts – a live-work component, industrial, railyard, heritage commercial and market.
Mayor Deb Kozak says this is a broad vision for the community to respond to .
Kozak says the is Railtown’s time to be revitalized and she says the community is clearly engaged in helping them form a plan for the area.
