You may have noticed a different flag flying at Castlegar city hall this week.
The city has been helping local scouts celebrate Baden Powell Day by raising the scouts flag until tomorrow.
Dean Christianson is the area commissioner for scouts in the Kootenay Boundary.
He says there will be further celebrations to mark the special day.

Baden Powell – born February 22nd in 1857 – was the founder of scouts.
Christianson says it is important for current scouts to know where the program came from.
