Nelson’s revitalized Railtown neighborhood will create options for co-location of housing, light manufacturing and retail.
This from Project Planner Joaquin Karakas who revealed the latest refined plans to the public this week.
He says the community has called for job creation opportunities in Railtown.
One idea for example is food processing.
Railtown plans, including green space and pedestrian elements, have been refined further since an open design period started in February.
The public has until the end of the month to view and comment on them via the city’s website.
Council will adopt the master plan in the fall.
