The chair of the Kootenay Lake School Board has called the diversity of the community feedback in Winlaw “fabulous.”

Lenora Trenaman is speaking after the big turn-out Monday night for the formal community hearing as Winlaw Elementary faces possible closure.

Trenaman is repeating that trustees will hear all comments before any debate and deliberations July 5th on up to six school closures in the district. She adds they may yet decide not to close Winlaw or any of the others on their list of six schools
