The financial results for last month’s Silver City Days festival in Trail are in, and city council is calling it a success.
Councilor Sandy Santori says the festival incurred a deficit of just over $8,000, and none of that will be charged to taxpayers.
Silver City Days brought in over $67,000 in revenue and expenses totaled at just over $75,000.
$31,000 of that was spent towards entertainment.
Santori says there is potential to cut back on spending next year as 2016’s event saw a number of first time or one-off purchases.
