Grand Forks Fire Rescue and Grand Forks RCMP are investigating a car fire from earlier this week.
On Tuesday evening, September 17, around 11:03pm, Grand Forks Fire Rescue were dispatched to reports of a vehicle on fire the 8200 block of Granby Road.
Crews arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames with minor spread to the grassy area on the side of the road.
No occupants were in the area.
A rescue engine, a tender, a bush truck, and two utility trucks responded to suppress the fire, which required crews to use foam as the fuel tank had failed and water alone was not effective.
The cause and circumstances surrounding the fire is under investigation.
Firefighters are reminding everyone that if they spot a fire to call 911 so help can be sent as soon as possible.
