Rossland to receive Bike BC grant

A significant injection of funding for a big infrastructure project in Rossland.

Bike BC has announced just over $226,000 to go towards a separated bike lane and multi-use path along Washington street between First and Kirkup Avenues.

City Councilor Aaron Cosbey says the grant money will cover half of the project’s cost.

As part of the announcement Castlegar gets $80,000 to build a multi-use pathway to connect Connors Road with the Kinnaird Bridge.

And the RDCK gets over $175,000 for the South Slocan Community Greenway for a bike path and concrete tunnel under highway 3A.
