Residents urged to not tempt wildlife

As fruit season gets into a full swing in the Creston Valley, Wildsafe is urging folks to minimize wildlife food attractants.

This following a few recent bear sightings in town.

Creston Community Coordinator Trish Drinkle says it’s imperative to pick ripened fruit and not allow it to collect at the bottom of the tree.

She says the harvest share program is one of several valuable resources.

Drinkle also recommends garbage be secured.
