A local NDP MP is reacting to a bill which has recently cleared the House Of Commons regarding medical assistance in dying.
Wayne Stetski MP for Kootenay-Columbia, says he was disappointed to see a few omissions in Bill C-14.
He says a majority of an all party committee made 21 recommendations for the legislation.
He was hoping the bill would include a law allowing Canadians suffering from a long term degenerative diagnosis such as alzheimer’s to make advanced arrangements for their future care.
He says Bill C-14 will fundamentally change the lives of Canadians.
