Canada Post raises stamp price fee by a quarter

The cost of mailing a letter just zoomed up from 99 cents to a dollar-24 ($1.24).

Other Canada Post products have increased by the same percentage, effective today (Mon.).

The Crown corporation says that will bring in an additional 80-million dollars in revenue this year.

It has lost roughly three- billion in the last seven years.
